Take-HomePay

Illinois take-home pay

TY2026 personal exemption ($2,925) confirmed by IDOR Informational Bulletin FY 2026-15. Same per-amount applies to filer, spouse, and each dependent (filer + spouse = 2 exemptions for MFJ, encoded here as the doubled standardDeduction; each additional dependent picks up another $2,925 via dependentExemption). Phase-out applies to the entire allowance — both the per-filer standardDeduction and the per-dependent exemption are zeroed when AGI strictly exceeds the threshold. The K-12 Education Expense Credit and Illinois Property Tax Credit also phase out at the same thresholds but are not modeled by this calculator (separate credits, not affecting the W-2-wage take-home computation).
